2.19.12 Crazy Hat, I mean Helmet Day
Since the 70′s, our season long Development Program has been dedicating a day to decorating their helmets (started out as hats!) and racing. Over the years I’ve had the honor of judging the helmets. It is one of my favorite events. The only thing I don’t like is picking out winners amongst a sea of colorful, innovative and home-made creations. Thanks to all the kids who stayed up late last night with glue gun and markers crafting their special helmets. In case you missed it, here’s some of the amazing concoctions!

This might be off topic, but- I’m begging you! Can’t we groom out a few more trails like Fools Gold or Big Dipper? Far be it from me to ‘duck a rope’ but I gather some of these trails are no worse than Uncles or Overbrook and could just have a ‘thin cover’ sign at the top. See you Tuesday when my pass turns back from a pumpkin!
So much fun to see all of the kids showing their creativity. Just wish it was a little warmer as we waited for the little rippers to come down the race course.
Kelly I was impressed with the grooming and snow cover this wkend–praise to you and your snow making and grooming team. Crazy Hat race was the best kids were cute.

Hmmm, quite a dynamic storm situation developing for later this week into Sat. Lets hope this one favors the softer/whiter type of precip.
All of a sudden this week the North Face is fully open? Just in time for the FEB crowds… Not sure Y we’ve been skiing on only 2 trails there all year…….
