3.5.12 Passholders – an amazing breed!
Mount Snow season passholders always amaze me.
If you are the ones that work all week and then go home on Friday and pack up the car (and kids and dog) and then head 4 hours north to Mount Snow to get up at 7 am to get the kids to programs…..you amaze me! Question? When do you go grocery shopping and do laundry?
If you are one of those passholders who show up in the rain or 50 mph winds and later comment that, “not bad today!”…..you amaze me.
If you are the ones who construct Duct Tape Derby entries that are better built than my kid’s tree house….you amaze me! Let’s not even mention the costumes.
If you are one of those passholders who fall into scenario #1 and then you go tubing, snowmobiling or out to dinner after a day on the mountain….you amaze me!
And how about those of you who entertain a new crew of family and friends each week? I have to take 2 days off just to prepare my house for company. How do you do it every weekend? You absolutely amaze me!
Mount Snow has a strong group of passholders who are multi-generational and as some of you have remarked to me, Mount Snow is in your DNA. Past research and focus groups has compared the Mount Snow season passholder to the Sugarloafer. We all know that this has been a challenging year but did you know that the Mount Snow season passholders have skied/snowboarded almost as many days as last year? And last year we opened on Nov 25. That truly is amazing.
Over the years I have been able to meet and spend time with many of you. It is one of the best perks of the job. Thanks for your patronage and loyalty. I know you have choices and my staff and I appreciate that you make Mount Snow your home away from home.
This weekend we have some special activities planned to thank you for being passionate about Mount Snow. All of the details can be found here: http://mountsnow.com/season-pass-holder-appreciation/
ANY PASSHOLDER can ski all weekend (March 10 & 11.) If you are a midweek or Sunday only passholder, please join us. And weather permitting, we will have AM Express on both Sat and Sun! I am especially excited for the uphill challenge on Sunday. All you have to do is make it to the summit before the first AM Express chair and the marketing team will reward you with a special passholder t-shirt. C’mon – I have seen you hiking, skinning and snowshoeing up – you might as well score a t-shirt for your efforts. I might even join you (for the first few minutes!)
Thanks passholders – keep on amazing me and the Mount Snow staff will keep working hard to make sure your days here are worth repeating.

Kelly – you know us well…descriptions 1,4 and 5 above describe my family from Thanksgiving until the end of March absolutely perfectly in every little detail (my alarm goes off at 7:00 AM to get the kids to devo). We skied as many days as last year because of an amazing product you had ready for every weekend in the most difficult of seasons weather wise in recent history. Looking forward to the weekend….
Brett, I entirely relate to your situation. We do the exact same thing (although I sadly have missed one weekend this year). The only difference has been getting up at 5:30 am to hit AM Express on the Bluebird. That would be great if we weren’t just 10 minutes away from the base of the lift. We’ve really enjoyed this year as well as our visitors have too.
Kelly, I’m pretty sure you could have found a better picture of passholders to use. That guy in the front (holding the kid) is unfortunate looking.
And if you host slopeside breakfast for the grooming dept….you amaze me!
Wow. You can’t keep a secret around here.
Sunday at 7:15 for an hour or so. Tent and table set up at the bottom of Grommet. Hot breakfast, coffee, etc. I’m sure you’re busy with AM Express, but you’re welcome to stop by. Just a thank you to the Boys and Girl who have taken a challenging year and made it into something unbelievable.
Due to this clock change thing on Sunday at 2:00 am, we are starting the Groomer breakfast at 8:15 so they can complete their grooming work.
Kelly
You forgot to mention
1) spending time filming TV 41 commercials to self promote our Duct Tape Derby entry
2) Spend all week exchanging ideas on the Fan Club, most of which pokes fun at our friend Paul
3) Building bars made out of snow
We all thank you and everyone at the mountain for a place that we love to call home.
CAMS ARE DOWN/NOT REFRESHING………
we’re aware Di, working on it!
How come when I went to Wachusett they have a basket of free Wachusett stickers in the ski shop and yours are like 5 bucks?
Ben, come up to marketing on the 3rd floor of the main base lodge and we’re more than happy to hand out some stickers.
