ALL EXPERT MEN AND WOMEN XC RESULTS.
The US KENDA CUP EAST
08/08/2009
The U.S. Cup is a comprehensive thirteen round series created to establish top amateur and regional pro XC champions on both the West and East coast. A final "shoot out" unification round in Las Vegas will pit Kenda Cup West/East champions plus top amateur riders against one another for ultimate bragging rights and a U.S. Cup Series unification title. In addition amateur racers will have the chance to see the world's top male and female cross country Pro rider's slug it out for the coveted Pro XCT number one plate at select Kenda Cup West and Kenda Cup East.
Mount Snow's stop - THE SNOW SHOOTOUT will feature as always one of the most grueling stops along the circuit as riders will have to endure the infamous 5-mile cloverleaf course. Mount Snow's course is synonomous with rocks, roots, and New England mud. The four mile south loop is comprised of 2.5 miles of climbing and then a 1 mile downhill single track descent.
Running in conjunction with the U.S. Cup series, is USA Cycling's Pro XCT tour presented by Sho-Air. These seven U.C.I. rated events (three on the west and three on the east) with the finale in Las Vegas offer pro riders valuable points as they press on towards landing a spot on their country's MTB team for the 2012 Olympic Games in London. The Pro XCT will also test the world's fastest male and female pro cross country riders as they vie for Pro XCT number one plate, with the finale taking place in Las Vegas.
