Bubble Blog: Lift 17 Terminal Removal
Yesterday one of the last remnants from the Summit Local, Lift 17, was removed. An 80 ton crane was brought to the top of Mount Snow to lift off the top terminal. Some pictures of the process below.

Wow, how did you get the crane to that crane to the summit?
it has wheels
Not exactly a highway running to the summit.
good point
maybe there is a highway to the summit. you dont know that
cool! Do you know what the new terminals will look like?
Awesome photos. I can imagine that was some intense work given the recent temperatures.
Is this for sale? I think it would look great over the stream/waterfall in Glenn’s back yard in Dummerston.
parts of the lift will go to other places
So what happens to the top terminal now that it is off of it’s tower. Does it come down the mountain in one piece or in pieces?
Why not set up the web cams so we can watch the progress at home?
they are under the winter tab
AGREED!!!
Tom – most of the action is at the base right now and that cam is working. The summit cam was mounted on the building that we just took off its base so we removed the cam. We will remount in time for the next excitement at the summit!
What trails do you typically use to get heavy equipment up to the summit??? Are the local triple parts going to another mountain?
what are those things lined up on the base cam
parts for the lift 11 chair upgrade install, i believe. over in parking lot B we’ve got a great army of new chairs getting ready to be put up.
cool
can you ride new chair with the bubble up on nice bluebird days??
of course! you can either have the safety bar down, or both the safety bar & bubble.
please let the snow come early and often. thanks
I purchased one of the old ski lift chairs and was told I would receive an email about when and where to pick it up. I have yet to hear a thing, any info on this matter!
