This year Mount Snow is pleased to announce it will be holding the Jack Jump World Championships! We figure no one else is doing so we'll take the bull by the horns or in this case the ski by the chair and go with it.
Join us Sunday to see head-to-head competition on homemade Jack Jumps. It's a great event to watch and an even more fun event to compete in.
Jack Jumps were used way back when as a way for mountain workers to get quickly down the hill. It's a seat mounted to a ski.
This dual slalom race takes place on Charlie's Chase and will feature men, women, kids and first timer divisions.
Cost is $30 per person and includes race, party and prizes.
For more information email Gina at gsarlo@mountsnow.

The Duct Tape Derby 03/28/2010
The Duct Tape Derby has been a welcomed addition to the Bud Light ReggaeFest the last two years and in 2010 look for more sleds and more prizes. In 2008 and 2009 over 40 man-made sleds including a Log Cabin, Pirate Ship, UFOs, Mystery Vans, Jamaican Bobsleds, Firetrucks and the General Lee all entertained a crowd of thousands as they slid down our tubing hill.
This year start your planning early and save those cardboard boxes! Sunday we'll have a Pit Area in the main base area for some final touch ups before a judges panel will look over the sleds and judge them on creativity and design before we bring them up the hill to the "luge" for our contest.
This year we will award the prizes for the following categories:
