Take a hike in the Green Mountains
Hikers can enjoy a spirited ascent to Mount Snow’s 3,600 foot summit with 1,700 feet of vertical rise, or take a casual stroll through the woods on the nearby Deerfield Valley Trail. Hikers at Mount Snow have access to more than 20 miles of trails through the Green Mountain National Forest on and around the mountain, with terrain for various abilities. Download and print out the hiking trail map above or swing by The Hiking Center located in Mount Snow Sports at the Grand Summit Resort Hotel to pick up a complimentary copy and get some helpful hints from the folks in the shop. You will also find everything you need to enjoy the ultimate hiking experience including hiking boots, backpacks, hydration systems and outerwear.
Use a different mode of transportation other than your feet and take a chairlift ride up to the summit. You can then descend the mountain at your own pace on foot or simply hop the chair back down. Either way, magnificent views of southern New England and New York State will take your breath away.
All hikers must check in at the hiking center prior to heading out on the trail system. Trail maps are available at Mount Snow Sports.
