Kelly’s Blog: 100% Open
Happy first day of Spring! So far this month we have been blanketed with over 3 feet of snow, including the 19″ we’ve received since Monday night. I don’t know about you, but my legs have been getting a serious work out! And this weekend should be epic. Ski any trail (they’ll all be open), the woods and then take in the hilarious costumes and creations during our Duct Tape Derby and Sink or Skim. All while listening to Reggae music.
Last year on this day Vermont hit a high of 80 degrees. What a difference a year makes. I encourage you all to take advantage of what is turning out to be a fantastic March. Any skier knows that you have to grab it when it is good and savor every turn. That is what gets us through the summer.

One of the best powder days and I am stuck in meetings! I asked Jack to grab a few pictures and he happily accepted the task. Wonder why?
I’ll see you at the Duct Tape Derby – don’t forget to wear your tie dye.
P.S. At the end of the day, Denise asked me if I was up for a snow shoe. YESssssss! So I made it out on the mountain after all. It was just us and a few groomers and it was so beautiful I felt privileged to have the experience.

As we started up Illusion Denise stopped to chat with Jeff, who was making his last run of the day. It was still snowing.

The woods are loaded up with the softest snow. We pledged that we would buy skins for next year. Skiing down would have been the icing on the cake.

While we were snow shoeing our groomers were busy on the hill and in this photo you can see they were winching Plummet. Photo by B. Ryan

Heading home I caught this in my rear view. I love that his first pass was right up the middle. I later found that Brendan left this signature stripe.

Kelly says “One of the best powder days and I am stuck in meetings!” The head of mountain operations said it was one of the top 10 ski days of his life (and I know some of the places he has skied).
You should call in sick like the rest of us. Oh wait, you’d probably get caught. Me and my kids wont.
Keep the snow and cold coming. My spring break is April 1 through 6. Please have snow. Do you think it will be possible.
I would say with confidence that you will probably be skiing on your spring break! There is a lot of snow out on the hill and the long range forecast is for temps below average.
I would like to try out those glades. where are they? looks gr8.
think mountain bike trails
Came up Wednesday night from jjamesburg, NJ. I agree w Kelly that was one of my top 10 days condition wise. Great snow, no wind, perfect temperature and zero lift lines. Can’t wait to get back out today

Enjoy Gino – I am still grinning ear-to-ear!
I was one of the lucky ones who tracked all that powder! I came up Monday night thinking it was only for 1 day but I called work and made it a 2 day trip. All I can say is WOW that was one of the best 2 days I’ve skied in a long time. The woods were so much fun that my buddy & I couldn’t get enough.
