He explained to me that it is a pretty big maintenance task to maintain an good boardercross and we have found it is underutilized. But he liked the idea of banked slalom/boardercross terrain and said he would think about adding it in once the other parks are established. ]]>By: davidhttp://mountsnow.com/kellys-blog-elevation-baby/#comment-30490 Wed, 13 Nov 2013 14:31:33 +0000http://mountsnow.com/?p=17977#comment-30490Kelly, did you ever find anything more about that summit T-bar that was talked about over the summer? would love to know what’s in the archives for that quirky, rarely-used lift. ]]>By: kellyhttp://mountsnow.com/kellys-blog-elevation-baby/#comment-30489 Wed, 13 Nov 2013 14:15:24 +0000http://mountsnow.com/?p=17977#comment-30489Joey – I would highly recommend the family party at the Grand Summit on the 31st. Yes, there was a Palmer course years ago and only lightly used and that trail is now well used with a park. So why not put some banked turns on Milky Way? Still part of Carintha, has snowmaking, and way under traveled. When development sets their spring obstacle course in front of Sundance, people love to play there. Milky Way is the perfect spot! Now if there was snowmaking on all of the Main Mountain, I’d suggest a different trail, but then it would not be connected to Carintha. Side note….have someone check the App, Skis School, Map….it shows the clock tower as location?? Thanks for doing a great job at my mountain! Will Mt Snow be displaying at the ski Expo later this week?
Bob a carpeted staircase works well as a preseason practice slope, but steer clear of the wooden floors!
