West Dover, VT (April 2, 2013) – The Mount Snow Winter Brewers Festival returns this Saturday, April 6 with more than a dozen breweries expected to be on-hand pouring their finest sudsy concoctions from noon to 5 p.m. in the resort’s Main Base Area. Festival goers will also enjoy an outdoor barbeque and a lively performance from Mount Snow favorite, The Jeff Tuohy Band.
The Winter Brewers Festival made its debut in 2009 after resort event organizers were looking for a fun way to close out the winter season, and based upon the popularity of Mount Snow’s annual Labor Day brewers festival it seemed like a natural fit to have another one in the winter.
“We always get such great feedback about the summer brewers festival, both from our guests and the brewery reps, that we figured why not throw another one to end the ski season with a bang?” says Kelly Pawlak, Mount Snow’s general manager.
Thanks to all the natural snow that has fallen, Mount Snow has extended its winter season through April 14, so this will not be the last Saturday of the season.
Admission to the Mount Snow Winter Brewers Festival is $20 for age 21+, $10 for age 21+ with a valid lift ticket for that day or a valid season pass, and $5 for under 21. Admission for the 21+ crowd includes a souvenir glass and two beer sample tokens. Beer sample tokens can be purchased for $2 each.
Also happening on Saturday, April 6 is The Glade-iator Bump Competition held on Mount Snow’s only double black diamond trail, Ripcord. This event is a favorite amongst Mount Snow diehards with competitors being judged on a combination of time, form, line and aerial maneuvers off two the course’s jumps. It is also great for spectators thanks to a barbeque and Bud Light beer garden at the base of Ripcord. Registration is $35 and includes free admission into the Winter Brewers Festival.
