Bud Light Mardi Gras March 1, 2014
We love to throw big parties and our annual Bud Light Mardi Gras celebration is one of our favorites! Beads will be flying, live music will be playing, libations will be flowing and good times will be had by all. It’s a weekend of fun, so bring the family or leave the kids at home and let loose!
The C.O.M.P Snowboard Throwdown | March 8, 2014
Carinthia Open Mega Plaza. This is the second year for what we are expecting to grow into the biggest snowboard competition on the East Coast. Carinthia’s acclaimed park builders are going to construct a one-of-a-kind, plaza-style setup that will be loaded with rails, boxes and a whole arsenal of unique features found nowhere else but here. Athletes will need to choose their line carefully so they can go big, get technical and flex their style to walk away with a piece of the $5,000 cash purse for pros or gear from event sponsors for the ams in this jam-style format competition. The plaza will be located near the base area of Carinthia which is easily accessible to spectators. But don’t worry; even though this snowboarding competition is going to be huge, it isn’t going anywhere.
Carinthia Freeski Open | March 14 – 15, 2014
Our annual AFP certified event is back to its roots as a freeskiing slopestyle competition that since its inception has seen some of the biggest names in the sport on the podium. This season’s version is going to be no different with a $5,000 purse up for grabs for the pros and tons of gear for winners in the amateur division. Carinthia’s acclaimed terrain park builders go all out for this competition so athletes and spectators alike can expect one of the biggest slopestyle courses in the land. So bring you’re A-game if you want to go home with the goods, and bring your camera because these kids go BIG.
St. Patrick’s Day Celebration | March 17, 2014
Everyone is Irish at Mount Snow on St. Patrick’s Day! For the fourth straight year we are offering $17 lift tickets (when purchased in advance) and throwing a St. Patty’s Day party that will have you seeing green. Start the day with Green Eggs and Kegs at Cuzzins and then rock out to live Irish music on Cuzzins’ deck all day. There is plenty of Guinness to go around and if you want to take a break from the party, head out on the mountain to try and find the hidden Pot O’ Gold which will land you a FREE season pass for the following ski season.
Bud Light Reggaefest | March 28-30, 2014
It’s springtime in the mountains of Vermont which can only mean reggae music will be filling the air during Mount Snow’s annual Bud Light Reggaefest. With live performances from some of reggae’s hottest acts starting Friday night and going all the way through Sunday afternoon, this is a weekend not to miss. Plus, on Saturday you try to skim all the way across the 100-foot pond during the 11th Annual Sink or Skim Pond Skimming Competition. Then on Sunday, harness your creativity and build a contraption out of only cardboard, duct tape and zip ties for the 6th Annual Duct Tape Derby. It’s a spring skiing weekend at its best!
Winter Brewers Festival | April 5, 2014
If you haven’t figured it out by now, we love beer here at Mount Snow. And judging by the popularity of our brewers festivals, you do too! So, a few years ago we figured what better way to celebrate the end of a fantastic winter season than to throw a big party with lots of great beer. Enter: Winter Brewers Festival. This one-day celebration of springtime, beer and live music was an instant success and this season’s festival will be better than ever. You can expect more than 20 different breweries to be here with over 50 taps at their disposal pouring delicious ales, stouts, lagers, ciders and everything in between. Your admission includes a commemorative glass and the first drink is on us. Cheers folks!
Glade-iator | April 6, 2014
Legendary. That is the adjective most Mount Snow regulars will use to describe our annual extreme bump competition that occurs on Mount Snow’s steepest trail – Ripcord. Just to clear, this event is not sanctioned by any ski or snowboard governing body and regardless of your success you will earn no points towards a season-long race series. What you will earn, however, is the respect of your fellow revelers for successfully navigating the traditionally slushy, VW Beetle-sized bumps. Your motivation? The cold beer that awaits you at the tiki bar parked at the bottom of the trail.
Tough Mudder New England | TBA 2014
Probably the toughest event on the planet, Tough Mudder returns to Mount Snow for the third straight year.
Tough Mudder events are hardcore 10-12 mile obstacle courses designed by British Special Forces to test your all around strength, stamina, mental grit, and camaraderie. As the leading company in the booming obstacle course industry, Tough Mudder has already challenged half a million inspiring participants worldwide and raised more than $3 million dollars for the Wounded Warrior Project. But Tough Mudder is more than an event, it’s a way of thinking. By running a Tough Mudder challenge, you’ll unlock a true sense of accomplishment, have a great time, and discover a camaraderie with your fellow participants that’s experienced all too rarely these days.
The fun doesn’t stop when you finish the Tough Mudder obstacle course. Big Mudder throws a killer post-party consisting of live music, contests, awards, and of course the carnival of tough.
