Even with the drizzle today we still had skiers and snowboarders lapping the lifts all day. Then when the rain turned to ice at the summit and we had to put some lifts on hold, they still kept lapping! After only a short while we were able to open the lifts to the summit again, and their dedication was well worth it; they could reach the summit again (where the lapping continued). It just goes to show how much people love to ski and ride. No matter what the sky is dropping, it’s always worth it for those extra runs.
Tomorrow we’re expecting a 90% chance of snow and sleet, so bring waterproof outwear and leave the Wicked Witch of the West at home! Temperatures will be in the twenties and thirties with a high of 35.
We’ll be 88% open tomorrow, with 82% of our acreage groomed. We’ll have up to 15 lifts running to access our four mountain faces. The snow is soft, fast and a little wet; but it’s still great shredding out there!
Tomorrow we are hosting the final Mountain Dew Vertical Challenge of the season before the finals at Loon. This family fun event features a dual slalom on the mountain as well as a DJ inside and of course; plenty of free Mountain Dew and other goodies. Registration starts at 9am in the Main Base Area with racing at 11am.
St. Patrick’s Day is coming up, and Mount Snow has big plans to bring out the green in all of us! Lift tickets are only $17, so you start the day with a little pot-of-gold in your pocket! Then throughout the day there will be music, Irish food and drink specials, and entertainment (including a scavenger hunt for prizes!).
We’re currently holding sales at our shops; 40% off kids and adult outerwear, 20% off all logo wear and up to 40% off Skis & Boots!
Tomorrow we’ll have three sessions of tubing from 10:30am to 4pm. We have eight lanes open and each session runs for 90 minutes.
Enjoy your evening!
