SKIING AND SNOWBOARDING’S BEST HEADING TO MOUNT SNOW FOR WINTER DEW TOUR
Last year the Winter Dew Tour rolled into Mount Snow's, Carinthia for the 2nd stop of the inaugural Winter Dew Tour and over 24,000 fans flocked to the biggest snowboarding and skiing event on the East Coast. This summer the Winter Dew Tour announced that Mount Snow was chosen as the home of the FINALS for the Winter Dew Tour: The Toyota Championships - February 5 - 7, 2010.
After several years of successful summer tours, the Dew Tour's inaugural winter series was the largest touring winter event series featuring stops in Breckenride, Colorado and Lake Tahoe, California. This years stops again include the Torino's Open at Breckenridge, CO - December 18-20, 2009 and the Wendy's Invitational at Snowbasin, Utah - January 15-27, 2010 before converging on Mount Snow in February. The event features slopestyle and superpipe disciplines in both skiing and snowboarding, with top athletes like Simon Dumont, Kelly Clark, Hannah Teter and Jen Hudak expected to compete. The Dew Tour again will be aired on NBC, USA, MTV2, FuelTV and via many other outlets on the internet and across the globe.
"Mount Snow is thrilled to welcome the Winter Dew Tour back after a first year that exceeded our expectations," said Kelly Pawlak, Mount Snow General Manager. "We are confident that our freestyle terrain parks at Carinthia will furnish athletes with a premier venue, while the Winter Dew Tour helps us to introduce our Carinthia Parks to a very large audience."
"It was amazing to compete in my hometown and on my favorite mountain last year," said Kelly Clark, 2008-09 Snowboard Superpipe Dew Cup champion. "It is great that the Winter Dew Tour will be coming back to Mount Snow."
"Mount Snow was a fantastic host resort last season, and it only made sense to return this year," said Chris Prybylo, Vice President of Events for Alli, the Alliance of Action Sports. "It's a great fit for the Winter Dew Tour, and we look forward to giving fans and athletes another great experience at Mount Snow this year."
