Words from the Guide: Closing Weekend

Hello All,

Columbus Day weekend is upon us and this Monday, October 14 will be the final day for lift served mountain biking at Mount Snow (sad face). With our annual Oktoberfest going on this weekend there is no better time than now to come out and take some runs down our exciting mountain bike terrain. Think of how good you will feel after riding a bike all day then enjoying a cold German lager and tasty bratwurst; in my mind that sounds like a perfect day!

Our trail crew has been hard at work all week clearing our manmade and natural trails with an industrial strength leaf blower. For your riding pleasure I highly recommend taking a hot lap down Trail 9 which is in prime shape for riding this weekend. Our trail crew ninja Kyle and I just put the finishing touches on this epic jump trail this morning, and folks, you will not be disappointed!

The foliage may be a bit past prime, but it is still beautiful up here and now is a great time to check out some colors and amazing views. Looks like Ma Nature is going to cooperate with the forecast calling for sunshine and temps in the 60’s.  Once again I would like to thank all the people who came out and shredded some dirt with us this summer, I hope we will see you and your friends all again next season. If you see me out riding this weekend I would love to take a lap with ya’ll.  As for next year, I expect to see some new features on the hill and possibly a new trail (we will keep you posted)!
